Anal fistula or Fistula in ano, also known as Bhagandar in Hindi, is a difficultly curable disease.
The disease involves formation of one or more tracks starting from anal canal or rectum and that usually communicates with perianal skin.
People suffeing from Fistula in ano have pululent (Pus like) or Bloody discharge from the external opening. Sometimes they feel pain too when there is collection of pus inside and pus is unable to drain out due to fibrosis at the external opening.
Fistula disease can NOT be curable by medicines alone. More or less surgical intervention is necessary in almost all the cases. So, one must select a procedure that is minimally invasive and involves minimum cut or incision. Ayurveda surgical approach of medicated thread or Kshar sutra is one such approach. Fistula can be completely cured by kshar sutra treatment if done by experienced doctor.
